With the all-new dv9500 series, Hewlett-Packard
continues to take entertainment seriously while designing its laptops.

Successor to the dv9000 series, Hp now decides to play smart.

Just like the dv9000 series, this one also comes with a 17-inch wide screen display. With AMD Turion™ 64 X2, Nvidia dedicated graphic memory and 1GB DDR2 RAM, the dv9500 is a good entertainment laptop especially considering its affordable price of Rs 50,000. But, what makes it so affordable?

Rating: 6.5/10

Pros: An entertainment powerhouse with a beautiful design; bright crisp display; complete set of audio visual controls, long battery life, touch pad on/off button; fingerprint reader; excellent software.

Cons: Heavy weight for everyday use; display resolution could have been much higher; the dedicated graphic memory of just 128 MB is way too less for professional use; internal hard disk memory has been decreased in comparison to the dv9000 series.

Bottom line: The Hp pavilion dv9502tx is good for home users who don't want to spend a fortune on a large entertainment notebook. Professionals beware, it's a tempting deal!
