Video Editing For Dummies...

I have a habit of capturing (or shooting) interesting videos and then enhance them with special effetcs to make them more interesting. I have been using softwares like Ulead Video Suite, Windows Movie Maker, etc. to edit my videos. However, the main issue that I faced were: quality of the effects (or editing), and speed of operation. These tools have limited functionality and they literally sit on the CPU. I had no option but to continue using them (compromising on the quality) as I had no other tool. Main problem with these tools is that one needs to be trained to use them. For example, if I was to apply a special effect to a scene, I must have the technical expertise of using the tool to be able to perform the job. Otherwise, I will not be able to do anything...

Recently, I have found a tool which is, I feel, made for people like me, who are not exactly novice nor expert. This marvellous tool is for regular users. It is called: Movavi VideoSuite - the video software for dummies. It is a collection of various utilities which allow you to convert, edit, copy, burn and save video files to various formats including CD/DVD, mobile formats (for your iPod, PSP, and other mobile devices). It is an ideal solution for geeks like me. It is like a powerful weapon for all your video-related needs. It is a one-stop-shop for all your video conversion and editing (including inserting special effects) requirements. And finally, it is value for money!

It is comprised of following modules: Convert Video/DVD, Video DVD to Mobile, Edit Video, Join Video, and Create CD/DVD.

    • Convert Video/DVD enables you to capture videos from DVD and convert it to a variety of video formats including AVI, DiVx, Xvid, MPEG-1, 2, MPEG-4 (iPod, MP4), 3GPP, QuickTime, WMV, and RealMedia.
    • Video DVD to Mobile offers the tools to convert video and DVD files for playback on mobile devices. Output formats include that for iPod (320x240 and 532x400 iPod for TV), for mobile phone (of highest quality to smallest file size without audio), for PDA (Windows Media Video Pocket PC 320x240 up to Windows Media Video 9 for Mobile Devices), and for Sony's Playstation Portable too!
    • Edit Video offers some basic editing functions including Easy Fix,
Filters, and Effects. Split Video enables you to cut a single source video file into multiple video files.
    • Join Video simply enables you to combine two clips or DVD videos into a single video file.
    • Create CD/DVD enables you to burn your newly created video files to CD/DVD. You can burn to Video CD, Super Video CD, DVD-Video, and DVD-Video from Video_TS files.

My verdict - Go For It. Product URL: Movavi VideoSuite - the video software.
